Re-cut the flower stems about 1 to 2 inches underwater using
a sharp knife every other day. By cutting the stems under water, the stems are
sealed with water and air cannot clog the stem cells with fewer bacteria to
form, thus, allowing the flowers to last a longer life! Also, cut the stems diagonally. By doing this, you more importantly create a greater
surface area for the flower to take in water and less importantly prevent less
surface area of the stem to rest on the bottom of the vase.
